Wait Over Worry

Life is not what you expect. Life is up and down. Sad and happy. Bright and dark. However, there is one thing about this roller coaster journey we are living that stays the same; that is Jesus. I find myself getting so disappointed when things don’t go how I had planned or when the path begins to require great strength and endurance. However, Jesus never said it would be easy, but I can encourage you that it is far worth it. Simply being able to have a relationship with Christ makes everything worth it. To be transparent, one of the biggest ways satan attacks me is through worrying. I have been struggling with worrying for as long as I can remember. I think about the what ifs and stress about what will happen. I have to remind myself that Jesus has me exactly where I am, in my current circumstances, for a purpose. I may not understand the reason, but I can cling to the fact that He is intentionally working in my life and preparing me for the best. I know that there is someone else out there that worries about seemingly everything. Friend, let me encourage you first by letting you know that you aren’t alone. I am struggling with the same thing, but Jesus is with us in the struggle. He is with us in every aspect of life. His plan and purposes do not change. Whatever it is that is stealing your joy and bogging you down with worry, remind yourself that God already has it figured out. One day it will all be worked out for the glory of God. Why worry about things that you cannot solve? Leave it to Jesus. This too shall pass. The best is yet to come. There is purpose in the waiting. God is working. He is preparing you for something new that He is going to do. Stop worrying and cling to His promises. He promises that you are loved, known, worthy, beloved, enough through Christ, accepted, forgiven, beautiful, and far more to Christ. Let these promises help you be present in today, and look for how the Lord is working. He is so present dear friend. Remember God is preparing you for all that He has for you, but He is trying to teach you things where you are right now. Stop worrying about what is next or what is wrong with where you are now, but rather embrace the season God has you in. He is working!

Isaiah 43:19 “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
