This Love

Life lately has been crazy. 17 days until I go on one of the biggest adventures of my life. So many people have asked me if I am excited, and the answer is most definitely yes, but I also struggle with a lot of fear. However, the Lord has made it clear time and time again that this is the path He has called me to. With that being said, often our steps of faith are not going to be comfortable, but rather uncomfortable because in this we can often grow the most. It is in our discomfort that we form reliability and dependency on Christ.

During this season of preparation I have really been trying to focus on my relationship with Christ. Slowing down my life to find Him in those sweet and quiet moments. I started going on my prayer walks again and there are just these moments sometimes where I feel so much joy that I cannot even express it. I just smile and dance because I am overflowing with the joy of the Lord. However, I have also dealt with real struggles during this season. But these struggles remind me all the more how much I need a Savior.

I think the greatest thing I have learned during this time is what it truly means to be Beloved to God.

I have been listening to the Elevation song “The One You Love” on repeat. No love compares to Christ. His love is better than anything we have ever experienced. You might be wondering how you can fall in love with Jesus if He isn’t a human? Well, when you spend time with Him in His word and prayer you see His heart, the nature of His spirit. His kindness, grace, mercy, trustworthiness, faithfulness, devotion, love, and so much more. Then to think that He loves me perfectly and fully in such a way that my mind cannot even comprehend it. I am left speechless at this love that I do not deserve.

Though this season has been difficult and stressful, the Lord has really taught me how important a relationship with Him is and just how much He loves me. He is perfecting me in His perfect love. Pruning and cultivating my heart for the unimaginable things that He has planned for me. I see God in everything, all around me. A never ending love story. I see that worldly love in no way compares to His love. He is our first and forever love. Before we seek love on this earth we must cultivate our relationships with Christ. Do not forget your first love. He is our first and forever love.

This is love. He is love. Fall in love with Jesus!!!!!!!

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18
