Jesus Changes Everything

This week I’d like to talk about my reasoning for designing the ywam shirts the way that I did. On the front of the shirt it says, “Jesus Changes Everything.” This has been a saying that has been very near & dear to my heart these past few years. I love the great truth these words hold. Jesus can change any situation. When the world says it’s impossible, the Bible says, “For nothing will be impossible with God.” (Luke 1:37) The drug addiction. Jesus can change it. The depression. Jesus can change it. The fear of failure. Jesus can change it. The broken friendship. Jesus can change it. The sadness of losing a loved one. Jesus can change it. The heartbreak. Jesus can change it. Jesus can change everything. What you think may last forever, He can change. Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.” Jesus can change our plans. What we think will happen He typically does the exact opposite of haha. When it came to ywam I for so long was fearful to make the commitment because I didn’t know what my life would look like. I was scared that God’s plan would mess up my plan, but then I realized that you can only run so long from God’s call. Jesus will literally change your life in order that you may fulfill His plan. I had my mind made up that ywam was some crazy dream of mine since 8th grade and that it was impossible. It was too big a step of faith, it was too uncomfortable, it was too much change. However, Jesus changed everything. Jesus spoke to me so clearly that He was leading me to this. A specific example was when I was at the beach with my family. I had been really studying Psalm 23 because my mentor thought it would be really good for me at the time. Everyday I studied it and prayed about the words. I had a call with ywam that week discussing the path to move forward with my decision. At the end of the call, the lady asked if she could pray for me, and of course I said yes. As she prayed for me she began praying Psalm 23 over my life. The passage I had been studying all week she prayed over my life having no idea I had been studying it. Jesus is so present and intentional. After that moment Jesus just kept confirming ywam and increasing my desire to do it. Jesus changed me. Jesus changed everything. I want to encourage you all today to truly realize that Jesus can change you, your circumstances, and anything. Nothing is impossible for Him. Cling to this truth, and trust that He is working even when we don’t see it. The Lord is doing something big, and I am beyond honored to get to be a part of it. Thank you so much for your support in joining me in this journey as I go with the Lord into this new adventure He is calling me into. I am beyond excited to see what great ways the Lord works through ywam. Everything God is preparing is worth the wait. The best is yet to come. Ywam 2022, I am so ready for you!!!!!!!!!!!!

A psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

He makes me lie down in green pastures,

he leads me beside quiet waters,

He guides me along the right paths

for his name’s sake.
